Luke chapter 15, verses 3 through 7.

So Jesus told them this parable,

What man of you, having a hundred sheep,

if he has lost one of them,

does not leave the 99 in the open country

and go after the one that is lost until he finds it. And when he has found it,

he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends

and his neighbors, saying to them rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.

Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous persons who need no repentance.

I remember sharing this story in the middle of nowhere, like way far out, with a shepherd.

With a shepherd who had sheep like a real shepherd like this was his livelihood and as i told this story so this is a non-believer not someone who's a follower of christ in fact

it's someone in an unreached people group where most people in this area of this

country have never heard the gospel.

And so I'm looking for opportunities to share the gospel as I'm sitting out there drinking,

I don't know what I've been served and eating.

I don't know what that I've been served.

And I'm sharing this story with him and his eyes light up.

And he says, that's exactly what I would do.

Like if I had one sheep out of all of them that was missing. I would do everything I could to find, to rescue

that one sheep. And as he shared that with me, I looked at him and I said, I want to share

with you that this is the way God perceives you.
