five and today's expression is to come clean to come clean to come clean to come clean

c o'em come clean c l-e-a-n what come clean, C-L-E-A-N. What does it mean to come clean? It means tell the truth.

Actually, it means to confess, C-O-N-F-E-S-S. To confess means to tell the truth, but you were trying to hide the truth. Or maybe you were even

lying. So usually if you do something bad and you don't tell your mom, you don't tell your

teacher, you don't tell your wife, well then you're hiding

something. Maybe even you're lying. And if your mom, your teacher, your wife finds out,

they'll be very angry at you. So maybe it's best to come clean right do you come clean when you do

something bad my wife did yesterday yeah she's uh she's doing some shopping for christmas and i i gave

her a limit you know this year you can spend $40 on Christmas.

And, well, she went over.

She spent like $70.

But before I got the credit card bill, she came clean.

She told me.

And I said, well, is it a gift for me?

And she said, um, yeah.

So I said, okay, that's okay then.

So it's all right.

She came clean, so I'm not going to be mad, right?

Because I'm a good husband.
