| 0:56.2 | 40s, very long histories. They spend money in TV ads and they can afford it, right? They charge |
| 1:04.4 | these expense ratios that are pretty high. They are using their money now to come against some of these passive investing approaches, to try to sow the seeds of doubt. |
| 1:17.7 | And in large part, through their network of salespeople, they go to the financial planners, financial advisors, and they lay out the brochures and they talk about how their you know, their approach is better than just buying an index fine. |
| 1:30.0 | There's other ways that they're doing this too. |
| 1:31.8 | They're writing articles. |
| 1:33.0 | They're buying ad space. |
| 1:34.8 | They're doing all sorts of things to try to convince investors that indexing is a horrible way to go. |

| 1:42.7 | I mean, their business is literally at stake here. |
| 1:45.3 | Right. Sure. They just can't pivot and move to being an active or a passive shop. That train has |
| 1:52.8 | already left the station and it's owned by some of the big names like Vanguard and some of those. |
| 1:58.3 | Done. So the only thing they have to do is fight for what they still have. |
