0:05.8	Kurtz and Danny Koch. Hello friends and welcome to another week of Cultivated Good Life. I am Becky Higgins. My friend and co-host is Becky Proudfit and she is currently having the most amazing road tripping experience with her family, which is super fun.
0:36.4	And on my end, my family has been enveloped in all things, extended family, as my father-in-law just recently died from Alzheimer's
0:45.0	disease and we've been helping with the funeral and hosting a lot of people that
0:49.2	we love and honestly it's just been a very special experience.
0:52.9	So we're both having just really special family experiences
0:56.7	this summer, which we're so grateful for that,
0:59.7	but not together for this little part of the recording of course and I just you know these
1:05.9	are these are unusual times and I'm not talking about summer schedules I'm saying in the
1:10.6	world these are unusual times and so sometimes we are just going to be
1:15.3	doing some unusual things so outside of everything going on in our personal lives
1:20.8	there's obviously so much going on around the world, always, right? But lately it seems like there's a heightened awareness of various opinions about a lot of topics and I'll even say various agendas and I
1:36.4	personally feel like sometimes it's just hard to know who to trust, who to listen to, what to believe, and sometimes even how we should be feeling
1:49.2	as a lot of these issues get increasingly heated.
1:53.0	So I want to be clear on behalf of both of us
1:56.3	about where we stand on issues related to race.
2:00.6	And I just want to share three bullet points just to be clear about this.
2:06.0	Number one, we are anti-racist, period.
2:10.0	Number two, Becky and I do not claim to be experts on anti-racism of course, but we are individually and personally doing the work to learn more, to understand better, to love bigger than we already did and I for sure have become
2:28.1	more aware of my lack of understanding in general and I'm excited to be more proactively inclusive and
2:36.4	better diversified with my brand than I ever have been in the past so So you'll be seeing more diversity in those
2:44.6	voices that we amplify here on the podcast. You'll see be you'll see more
