but you and I are not qualified because we're not folk drink experts nor are we even close.

Okay, so to be clear, we don't know anything about this. And one of our correspondents,

Okay, so... I'm getting business cards and everything, Matt. That's fantastic. Good. So,

Dalen would all... Our minister of culture is going to teach us about folk drinks. Matt,

do you know what a folk drink is? I don't. No, I've never put those two words together ever,

but I trust Dalen because he went through a rigorous interview process and came out the other side

as the person we found to be most qualified to teach us about things we didn't even know where things.

So, no, I don't know a dang thing about folk drinks. And I am entirely here to learn.

Okay, I'm ready. Dalen, what is a folk drink? So, I've narrowed the conversation down to a couple of

different areas. I have a sort of frame, our understanding. A folk drink is a non-alcoholic drink that has

a regional or cultural history that was founded at least 70 years ago. And they'll get much

older than that and we'll talk about that. And not a mass market soda. So, not a Pepsi, not a Coke,

not a soda that you can find everywhere. The drinks that we'll be talking about broadly

kind of fit into those three criteria. So, questions for you. Would like some kind of special

local hot chocolate or not carbonated beverage that's whipped up in a unique way regionally?

Would that count as a folk drink or is that in a different category? I'd count that as a different

category because we're going to be talking almost exclusively about sort of carbonated beverages.

I'm thinking of course about the dull whip that I think you get at Disney World. That's a pineapple
