Hey guys, what's up? Scott back for another episode of the SBL podcast and super stoked that you've

decided to join us today. Now today's podcast, we're catching up with an up and coming player

from here in the UK called Matthew Reed. With a first class honours degree from the Guildhall

School of Music, which is an awesome music school over here in the UK. Matthew is becoming a serious

player on the jazz scene on both electric and upright bass, and he also received the Alec Danquith

Prize for big band composition and arranging back in 2016 as well. So Matthew is a seriously

talented bassist and, obviously obviously composer and arranger.

Now not content with life as a sideman, Matthew put together his own trio and I really

recommend that you check these guys out because they're fantastic. I will make sure that we've got

fantastic. And Matthew was tackling everything from writing and recording to booking tours for that

trio, so he's really going for it. And his latest album, Anacotos Volume 2, is due out on February 9th. So make
