an idiom we're going to learn an idiom and it is crocodile tears

crocodile tears spelling c r o c o d i l e crocodile spelling. C-R-O-C-O-D-I-L-E. Crocodile. Crockadile T-E-E-E-A-R-S. So a crocodile,

very similar to an alligator, right? Kind of a scary, really huge, like lizard with lots of teeth.

It could eat you and kill you.

Ooh, scary crocodile.

Tears.

When you cry, you have tears in your eyes.

Okay, crocodile tears.

This is a really, really, really, really, really old idiom.

And the belief is that crocodiles would cry when they ate their food.

Of course, their food was another animal.

But of course, that's not true.

And the idiom, crocodile tears, means fake crying.

Fake crying, a fake display of emotion.

And when I say a fake display of emotion, who do you think of?

Well, hopefully you're thinking of politicians.

Lots of politicians.

Those guys and government, ladies too.

Many times they show us those crocodile tears.
