I think a lot of people struggle with realizing what they're good at and what they're great at.

So I was good, but I wasn't great. I was never going to be a phenomenal developer.

But number two, I just really didn't like working at a big company. I had very low impact.

If I disappear the next day, nobody would know.

What business you end up building is never going to be your initial idea.

No one who takes a shower and a light bulb goes off and comes up with this great idea,

and then go build exactly that and millions of people come in and use it.

That's not how startups work. What works is...

You don't really know what you have, you're not making any money.

Your friends are looking at you like, what are you doing?

Now, I know this is a long story, but this is kind of really interesting.

So for the first six months to a year, we actually didn't have much traction at all.
