Oh, hi, everybody. Welcome back. Thank you as always for listening. Today we have another

real person chat where I will be talking with Judy Okaya. Judy is a member of the Facebook group and she was one of the original members.

I don't know exactly what date, but when I started the group in April of 2020, she was one

of the first ones to join and has been very active since.

And it was clear from the beginning.

She definitely knows what she's talking about as well versed in all this, et cetera. And I just thought she was a knowledgeable DIYer who clearly has an aptitude and liking for this. But come to find out in doing this chat with her as you'll soon here, her career prior to retiring was actually as a actuary, a retirement actuary for pension

plans. So we'll talk a little more about what that is, but basically Judy's been in and around

retirements for his, for her whole life. But difference is she worked on the sort of corporate,

like, you know, plans that, large pensions for large companies and,

and, uh, other retirement plans like that, not doing like the personal individual

retirement planning things, which was, which were things that she kind of had to, uh,

learn herself along the way. But, you know, I guess a good knowledge base from having been in

an around concepts of retirement and, and pension plans and such plans and such that she had a good base

of info and knowledge from which to learn from.
