Good morning. Are you ready to start your day by setting your sights on the king of all

creation? Because that's what we're going to do on this morning mindset edition. I'm Carrie Green. I am here to bring

you some scripture that can encourage your soul as you face the day ahead. And I urge you, man, I urge you as a hard learned lesson in my own life.

I urge you to do this every single day of your life for the nurturing of your own soul.

Like you might exercise, like you might eat right. the nurturing of your own soul.

Like you might exercise, like you might eat right,

like you might drink lots of water,

anything you do to sustain yourself

and to promote a healthier life. Think of that thing when you think of something like this morning mindset,

because that's what it's aimed at providing is nourishment, but on a soul level and on a mindset level.

In the last few episodes have been talking about Psalm 63 because David in this

Psalm is expressing a hunger for God that we all need to have, we all need to nurture in our own hearts.

And he's already said that he's hungry for the Lord, that he's reminded himself of God's power and God's steadfast love and

because of that he's beginning to praise God. And in verse four he says, so I will bless you as long as I live in your name I will lift up my hands.

Do you hear David's determination in there?

He's saying when I recognize how powerful and how

glorious you are God and when I notice your steadfast love for me that's better than life.

I will bless you as long as I live.

Now that kind of blessing doesn't mean being a blessing to God

like he is a blessing to us, or like another person might be a blessing to us by doing something kind to us.

The way David says it, I will bless you is another way of saying, I will praise you, I will give you is another way of saying I will praise you I will give you glory

I will lift you up so that others can see I will magnify who you are in the eyes of others.
