Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Daily Easy English Expression, the podcast.

Today's expression is to do someone's bidding.

To do someone's bidding, B-I-D-D-D-I-N-G.

So I do my father's bidding. I do my father's bidding.

I do my wife's bidding.

You are doing the boss's bidding.

I need someone to do my bidding.

And what does this mean? Well, the simple definition, slave. I am my father's slave.

I am my wife's slave. You are your boss's slave. I need a slave. Now, we don't actually mean a slave. You know, that's very cruel,

but the idea is you will do anything the other person says. And many times what you do is

the bad stuff.

So the boss wants to do something that's not very nice.

He asks you to do it and you do it.

So I'll give you a quick example.

A long time ago, I worked at a language institute

and there was a teacher who was kind of a

problem.

So the owner of the school wanted to fire that teacher, but everybody loved the owner.

The owner was a nice guy.

That's not true.
