Hello, and welcome to episode 92 of the Diz Unplugged connecting with Walt Podcast. I am your host and is historian Michael Bowling,

and I am joined by my co-host, producer, and good friend Craig Williams. Craig, how are you today? I'm doing great. How are you, Michael?

Well, you know, folks who have been following us on social media, following me and the

dizz and all that know that it's with a heavy heart that I have to share that my lovely

research assistant and wife Carol passed away a week ago as of this recording.

And it was quite sudden.

And, you know, I mean, even though she'd been ill for 10 years, you know, you never, you know,

you never expect the day as it is.

And I couldn't have told you the day before that it would have been, you know, the next day.

Yeah.

No, I remember shortly after I first started the Diz that I was having a conversation at one point with

John and Kevin about Carol after I got to know more about the the her health and what she

had already been through and at one point when I said I was concerned they just kind of laughed

it off and said oh she's she's already been's already been through so much and, and she's strong

and she's a fighter and she's not done with her fight yet. And I mean, that's, that really

seemed to be true. So, of course, for like me hearing, it was a complete surprise because I've just, she's always

been fighting and she never stopped.

And so, yeah, it just took me it back.

Oh, yeah.
