Every teacher has experienced some level of burnout. The pains, stressors, and overwhelming demands that come with being an educator can take its toll after a period of time; and to help you understand this a little better we want to share some statistics with you: 41.3% of new teachers leave the profession within the first 5 years 66% of teachers want to leave their job while 36.4% are likely to quit 15% of teachers in the U.S. leave the profession every year (Alliance for Excellent Education) After hearing those statistics, the next question that popped into your head is probably why. Why are so many teachers leaving or wanting to leave the profession? In this episode we want to dissect teacher burnout by sharing our journey with burnout. We give you specifics of what happened, why it happened, and when it happened. 0:22.5	start us off with the chattyness before we even go into the time-sucking hurdle. Great. That's great.
0:28.0	I had two thoughts. Thought number one. Do you think people would notice during our intro if I said,
0:35.1	like, we are your host, Bridget Spackman, and then you said, and Michelle Emerson,
0:38.3	do you think they would notice?
0:39.9	Yeah, they would have to notice.
0:42.9	Like, our voices, we're very different.
0:45.9	I mean, now we've spoiled our plan, so I don't think we can do it anyway.
0:49.2	Yeah.
0:50.1	Second thing, I am officially embracing fall.
0:53.4	I am drinking my first coffee with pumpkin spice creamer.
0:56.6	Ooh, that sounds amazing. You know what? I started drinking almond creamer. It's actually really good.
1:05.8	Yeah. So I have tried hundreds, most likely, of creamers over the years.
1:12.2	And there's always ones where I'm like, yeah, that's not bad.
1:15.1	But I keep going back to my classics.
1:17.4	I know.
1:18.0	I know.
1:18.8	I'm trying to get away from that because I feel like, you know, the sugar and all the
1:23.3	things is probably not the best of the best.
