The church has a proclivity to follow after trends and fads and be led away by things that are super popular in the moment and only fall away from it.

But scripture tells us that good sound Christian

ministry is to mature us in Christ so that we will not

be children who are tossed to and fro by waves and carried

about by every wind of doctrine and human cunning.

So in my presentation we'll be talking about the tendency to go towards Vads, but the solution is being found in

scripture and what it is that we're really to be focused on in order to build up our

faith and to sustain the church into the future.

The following is an encore presentation of issues, etc. At a Christian funeral, the emphasis is, well, it is on the fact that the deceased

has gone to be in the near presence of Christ. But the real emphasis needs to be

on the future of that body we lay in the grave. Because Christ is risen, that means that body will rise again, new and

recreated, the same body new and recreated in Jesus Christ. Why does the funeral need to emphasize this?

Because just going to heaven isn't everything Jesus has promised us.
