Now, today is our considerable honour to be joined by a man whose influence over cartfishing

has spanned 40 years and more.

Tim Paisley, thank you so much for joining us.

Now, I think, first of all, we need to address this huge tome on the table in front of us.

Very exciting for people like me who love your writing, Tim.

Tell us a little bit about a carp memoir.

Well, it came about, I hope the Carp Society put together,

every picture tells a story, which is actually

a legacy from Rod Hutchinson, my major hero in the world of carp fishing. And we had a brief,

and Damos in it and contributed nicely. And I've told Damo he should write a book, but he's

very reticent about it. So we had this brief of 15, 15 pictures to tell a story about.

And I looked through the pictures and there were thousands that I wanted to write about and tell

a story about.

So that was three years ago.

So three and a half years ago, I started putting together the chapters.

A lot of it is, how did I arrive

here sort of thing? You know, you get nice things said about your legend and icon and whatever.

And I'm just another guy trying to make a hit, you know, who finished up somewhere I never ever
