1:37.0 | Kevin, I am so appreciative that you took the time to sit down with me on a personal note. I'm not sure there's anyone who I've interviewed that I've been more excited to talk about when it comes to the influencer space and social media and how people make that their careers. |
1:52.0 | I'm a geek about it and I know you have truly done this different and better than anyone else out there. So thank you for giving me the time. |
2:02.0 | I and your thanks for having me and I'm really, really excited to chat with you. I always like to kind of set the scene. |
2:08.0 | If you could talk about what your foundation is like, kind of the context in which you grew up. Like what did your parents do even things like that? |
2:16.0 | Yeah, yeah, it helped you get interested in what you're doing now. |
2:19.0 | For sure. So I grew up for most of my life in North Carolina. So I lived in Greensboro, most of my life. |
2:26.0 | It was interesting because my mom was a middle class family and my mom was a grief counselor. And then my dad was a professor of sports psychology. |
2:38.0 | So it was like a really interesting blend because I think early on from him, I learned a lot about mental toughness and sort of how to will things and do existence. |
2:49.0 | And really the belief that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and the ability to focus. And it was a little bit less of learning directly from him. |
2:59.0 | It was sort of just seeing everything he was doing. At the time, he was working with a lot of high profile athletes, particularly in individual sports. |
