0:32.2	overnight, more homeowners without insurance, and more Democrats are blaming climate
0:37.3	change for this disaster.
0:39.6	We'll unpack the latest on all of that with important takeaways for all Americans this morning.
0:44.7	Second, we go around the world for some critical updates in Lebanon, Mexico, Cuba, China,
0:50.1	and a pretty sneaky move by the White House that I suspect is connected to President Xi of China,
0:55.7	along with Donald Trump and his relationship with Elon Musk.
0:59.5	But before we get to that, let's get to that top story of the morning.
1:03.5	Heartbreak and devastation to share with you, ladies and gentlemen, out of Southern California.
1:08.7	Fires continue to break out in and around Los Angeles, including cities and neighborhoods
1:13.5	like the Palisades, Santa Monica, Pasadena, Alta Dina, the Hollywood Hills, and parts of Glendale.
1:20.1	The National Weather Service is explaining that we've got three very combustible conditions
1:24.4	this morning in this region.
1:26.5	The first is drought. Southern California is either in drought or in
1:29.6	relatively dry conditions. Second, there's low humidity. Now, in general conditions for fires get
1:35.5	pretty nasty when it is less than 10% humidity out there. Santa Monica yesterday got less than 1%.
1:42.7	Third, when you have those kinds of conditions but sustained winds in excess of 30 miles an hour, that is going to create problems.
1:50.0	And that is exactly the problem here.
1:53.0	The Santa Ana winds are in full force this morning.
