i'm tory today is thursday september 25 2025. And we begin with a whale of a rescue,

this one involving a moose. It all began when Cole Brown, whose family owns 100-acre property in Maine,

spotted a pair of antlers peeking up from a huge hole in the brush. That hole turned out to be a nine-foot-deep well, and the antlers,

they belonged to a bull moose who had fallen in. Brown's family alerted the Department of Inland

Fisheries and Wildlife, who sent a rescue team, including a biologist, to the scene. Using an excavator,

heavy straps, and some mild sedation, it took about five hours to lift

the majestic giant animal to safety. Once the medicine wore off, the moose made its way back

into the wild, and the family capped the hidden well so no one else, animal or human, would

fall in again.

The blob is back. Scientists say a massive marine heat wave is once again hovering over the Pacific Ocean,

posing a threat to species living along the coastline.
