All-Star Outfielder Aaron Judge Tide Babe Ruth by hitting 60 home runs in a single season.

According to ESPN, the ball drove 430 feet into the left field bleachers and caused quite

a commotion in the stands. But the fan at the bottom of the pile promptly turned it over to security

so they could return it to the slugger, who is now just one home or shy of tying Roger

Maris' 1961 single season record. After the game, Mr. Judge said,

it's an incredible honor. It's something I don't take lightly at all, but we're not done.

Also not done, St. Louis Cardinal Albert Pujols. He's still two home runs shy of reaching the

career 700 Club, which would put him in the elite company of only three other players,

Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth. To be sure, major league history isn't just happening

in the batter's box. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Hunter Green had a big weekend, throwing 30 pitches

that topped 101 miles per hour, more than any game since pitches have been tracked.

President Biden had some tough talk for Russia in his United Nations speech yesterday.

The president urged other world leaders to hold Russian President Vladimir Putin accountable

for what he called the brutal and needless war against Ukraine and told those gathered that

Mr. Putin's attempts to wipe Ukraine off the map should, quote, make your blood run cold.

What is not clear is whether Mr. Biden will do battle with Mr. Putin after 2024.

Last weekend, when asked by 60 minutes whether he plans to seek a second term, he said,

look, my intention is that I would run again, but it's just an intention.

Is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen.
