2020 and we begin with a major league pain in the butt for baseball with

increasing frequency, drones are buzzing in a stadium's

mid-game and in the latest case, plopping down in center field. Announcers for Wednesday night's

Indians Cubs match matchup in Chicago first thought

Ums had seen lightning before realizing they were pointing to the beady red eyes

of an unmanned aircraft. The device flew around, touched down, and then took back off again,

in all a seven minute delay of game. It's at least the fifth such field clearing visit this shortened

season.

Right now only Homeland Security and the Department of Justice can legally

swat a drone out of the sky.

The League wants to change that and is asking Congress to let stadium personnel try and catch

them if they can. Not everyone loves a tie. Country music fans are fuming over

Wednesday night's split decision for its top award.

Instead of naming just one entertainer of the year, the Academy of Country Music picked two,

Carrie Underwood and Thomas Wret. It's the first time in

ACM history that the honor will be shared. Twitter erupted. What's next? A tie in

the World Series or Super Bowl? Participation trophies?

The singers themselves, however, were publicly gracious and told their TV-only audience,

they were thrilled with the two-way win nonetheless.
