And we begin with scientific proof that Doritos are nacho ordinary chip.

Researchers at Stanford University in California found that one of the snack's ingredients has a superpower. It can turn the skin of a living mouse transparent,

allowing researchers to see how its organs function. The ingredient is Tartrazine,

a bright yellow orange coloring that according to USA Today is

pretty common in food, drugs, and cosmetics. The dye's molecules absorb blue and

ultraviolet light so when the scientists mix it with water and apply it to the mouse and And after, the mix washes right off, no harm to the rodent.

Some in the scientific community liken the finding to the 1897 H.G. Wells novel, The Invisible Man.

But we're not there yet.

Human skin is 10 times thicker than a mouse's, and more research is needed.
