And we begin with hundreds of wild pink flamingos popping up in places they don't belong.

And the reason is Hurricane Adalia. The leggie Barbie pink bird beauties are native to

the Caribbean, the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, and the southernmost part of Florida. But

are now turning heads in Texas, Alabama, South and North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia,

and according to USA Today, even as far away as Ohio. Animal experts believe some were

probably already in flight when they got caught up in the storm system, while others were

plucked right off the ground and wind whisked North. Flamingo fans hope the birds will stay

where they landed, but more likely they'll head back south. Most flamingos stand about four

feet tall, and are pink only because their favorite food, brine shrimp, contain a red

orange pigment known as carotenoid. One more fun fact, a flock of flamingos is known as

a flamboyance. If you're on the receiving end of a random act of kindness this week, don't

be surprised. The organization Pay It Forward 9-11 is urging all Americans to participate

in 11 days of goodwill from September 1 to September 11 to honor all those who stepped

up to help strangers in the wake of the attack on America 22 years ago. The call to action

do three easy good deeds, like holding a door open or share a snack with a classmate and watch

the ripple effect. There's still plenty of time to participate, and you can even register
