a few days back, and I knew it would be the perfect

question to ask you today. And the question is, what is the origin of the names Pharisee and

Sadducee? Right. So, Pharisee goes back in Hebrew, it's Prusheem. And the normal assumption is that it goes back to the concept of

being separated, someone who is a perush, was someone who is separated. And the Pharisees, as they have

their historic origins in the mid-second century BC, now in their mind, they go all the way back to to Moses and

traditions being passed on but they basically advocated that that everyone in israel should live
