Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Kim. Today is Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025. And we begin with two giant asteroids making a flyby today. The first is almost the size of a school bus. According to live science, QV5 will zoom past us at 13,900 miles an hour from a safe distance of 500,000 miles, which is twice as far away as the moon.

It's a regular visitor, but won't be this close for another 100 years.

QD8 is bigger, the size of an airplane, traveling twice as fast and will swing past a whole lot closer than its cosmic companion.

Space.com reports an arrival time of 10.57 a.m. Eastern this morning.

If you live in the vicinity of Old Town, Maine, police are asking you to be on the lookout for a very large lizard.

The scaly runaway named Blue is a tagu, which can grow to four and a half feet long.

They have long claws, sharp teeth, and a strong bite, and, while not

naturally aggressive, could lash out if scared or provoke. Blue ditched his humans home more than

a week ago. Experts thought he'd surfaced to sunbathe by now, but hasn't. Once found, they

plan to use a guide pole to get him into a crate and return him to his owner. In the meantime,

police are urging residents not to approach it.

You might know him by his name, Christian Joseph Savasta. More likely, you know the nine-year-old by his handle, the Rizzler.

Last spring, the pint-sized TikTok influencer teamed up with Arizona

iced tea to promote a fictional new flavor known as Rizberry. It was an April Fool's joke with the

copy reading. We have consulted with our new chief Riz officer, the Rizler, to bring the most

Riz-enhancing drink known to man. According to the Wall Street Journal, 10 million views on that one post,

and lots of questions about where Rizberry could be found

made the company realize they had to make the fake flavor for real.
