I am your host and Diz historian Michael Bowling and I am joined by my co-host, producer, and

good friend Craig Williams.

Okay, well, last week you mentioned Pearl, the new Pixar Spark short. So I finally watched it,

and so I found it entertaining. It's not terribly short. It's about what eight and half minutes or so yeah oh no it's bulky it's entertaining yeah it's on the long end of a short so

but yes most definitely so what what are your thoughts on it i I loved it, particularly the animation.

I love the fact that the, I can't remember the exact description that people from Pixar used for it,

but basically all the human characters are running in like a essentially a smooth animation and then

it's uh pearl the actual um the the the ball of uh yarn is essentially like running almost closer to

like the animation out of um spider man into the spiderverse so it just

it that right there the whole reason they did that was was to definitely draw a parallel

in between the two and so that like right there from the start, just how they decided to animate it to begin

with, like, that sets up the entire thing.

And before I read that, you know, it jumped out immediately to me in a very stark way.

Like, okay, this is really different.
