This is a personal temptation of mine for cynicism, a kind of hopelessness, or if I'm

being honest, maybe even a faithlessness, because here are the promises of God.

I am already told by the creator of the universe how things are that he is in charge, that

he has my best interest at heart, that his good is my good, and yet it's easy to grow

hopeless and cynical, especially in a world where Christians find so many things that

they used to depend on, probably shouldn't have, falling apart.
