We've seen it before in pre-modern forms of paganism and now it's on the rise again along with the decline of the

influence of Christianity. Welcome back to issues etc. I'm Todd Wilkin. We

interviewed John Daniel Davidson last Friday about the paganization of America.

John is senior editor at the Federalist and author of the new book pagan America The Decline

of Christianity and the Dark Age to Come. We discuss several topics including that definition of

paganism and why it is that in America we are finding the decline of

Christianity coincide with the rise of this new paganism.

why are abortion and euthanasia

considered sacred in a pagan society.

Yeah, I have a chapter on abortion and euthanasia as essentially human sacrifice in the new pagan cults. And the reason for it is because it engages a pagan ethos, a pagan view of the world that we mentioned earlier about power, that power rightly belongs to the powerful and the weak have no right to power or protection only at the indulgence of the powerful.
