I lived in New Hampshire for a while and I'm Jewish.

Being Jewish in New Hampshire was kind of difficult, you know?

I don't know, I think entrepreneurs sometimes if they're told, no, you can't, you kind of go out of your way to show, yes you can.

It was probably three years in before I took a first vacation of like a week.

So I think that's important to do too many people either want to find a market that there is no competitors in, which is really scary for lots of reasons.

Or they want to go into a market where there are competitors, but they don't have a real edge.

Okay, absolutely. This is Jonathan Cogley.

I founded a security software company.

Our first product came out back in 2005.

I based in Washington, DC originally from South Africa and landed up in the US back in 2000.

I have a consulting background. My software company makes basically infrastructure software.

So security software for helping companies manage their passwords across all different devices that they have.

So it's pretty niche. It seems kind of off the wall and a strange thing to make software in, but it's actually a big problem.

A lot of companies need this type of software and we've been able to get over 7,500 customers around the world.

And it's taken about 12 years to get there.

And you said you came to the US in 2000.

I did. Yes. I was based in London at the time.
