and he's a psychologist who writes about video games,

tabletop games, tabletop games,

mobile games, role-playing games,

every kind of game you can imagine.

He writes about them from the perspective of a psychologist.

So he explains why they were designed the way they were designed, why we behave the way we behave,

when we're playing them, or when we're interacting with other people playing them.

But also, what about human psychology itself can be explained by certain elements of how we interact in the gaming world?

And I just find it endlessly fascinating to see what sort of insights he can derive from things that I never really had considered whenever I'm messing around on a game.

So there's been a lot of interest in Jamie's expertise lately because of Pokemon Go and it's insane popularity, but I wanted him to come on the show because
