Welcome to Verity Podcast. I'm your host, Felicia Mason-Himer, and I am here to

0:06.3

teach you how to know what you believe, to live it boldly, and to communicate it

0:11.3

graciously to the world around you. I believe that women are ready to go deeper in

0:16.8

their faith than ever before, and they don't have to go to seminary to do it. I am

0:22.5

so glad you're here, and I hope you'll join me on this journey because every

0:27.2

woman is a theologian. Hi friends, and welcome back to Verity Podcast. Well, it's

0:33.9

that time again. It is time for a book recommendations episode. Last time we did children's

0:41.9

vivals and books, and this time I'm just going to share with you the books I have been

0:48.6

reading so far in 2022. So I wanted to do this every quarter, and I definitely failed because

it's quarter three, and I'm going to be giving you the highlights from the last three quarters,

1:02.2

and then hopefully I can do quarter four sometime in December and get us back on track before

1:07.6

we get to 2023. I hope to do these once a quarter so you can hear what I've been reading and what

1:13.4

I've been loving, but if you want to get weekly updates of what I'm reading and what I finished,

1:18.8

how I like it, sign up for my newsletter, the Conlectio, because every Tuesday that goes out,

1:24.4

and I have listed all the books that I am reading, loving, not loving, etc. And I have them linked

1:30.9

in there. So if you want more frequent book recommendations, that is the place to get them.

1:37.1

So I am going to be sharing with you a variety of books. These are not all heavy theology books,

1:44.1

but I'm going to throw in some great spiritual titles as well. I want to share everything I've

1:52.0

been reading because I know some of you are looking for fiction recommendations, and some of you

1:57.5

are interested in, you know, nonfiction that isn't theological. So I'm just going to share with you

2:02.9

the whole kit and caboodle, as my mother says, of books that I've been reading in the last couple of

2:11.7

months. So I have a goal of reading 45 books this year, and I'm actually doing pretty well on that
