Hello and welcome back to this week's episode of the Turkey Hunter podcast.

and 32 seconds away from opening day of spring turkey season in Alabama. I remember about this time last year going through these very high numbers,

293 days away from opening day of season, and I was thinking, I know it's going to get here

fast, but it can't get here fast enough, and now it's gotten here and gone, and we're looking

towards 2017.

So I was going to cover this week's topic last week, but because I thought last week's

interview with Derek Colbert was so interesting, well, I bumped myself and I wanted to get

the interview with Derek out to you guys. So I put today's topic on hold,

and even though I bumped today's topic back a week, I still really feel like you guys are

going to get a lot out of today's show. So today, I'm going to recap my 2016 turkey hunting season and let you guys in on what my takeaways from the season were.

Some things that I learned that maybe I didn't know or things that I learned that I had forgotten and just needed to relearn or things that I've experienced this year that I never have experienced before my life.

So that's when I want to go over. But I've got a little something extra that I want to sweeten the pot with.

Today I'm bringing in the official Turkey Hunter podcast intern Cameron to talk about his 2016 season recap and his

takeaways from his season as well. And Cameron hunted in Tennessee and Alabama this year.

And I've got one question for him that I don't think he's expecting from me that I can't wait to get the answer to.

So one of my favorite parts of nearly every interview that I do for this show is when I asked the guest of the show to tell us the story of their most recent successful turkey hunt and one or two things about that hunt that helped make it a success. So today I'm not going to

get into the stories behind the hunt because, well, we don't have two or three hours to kill.
