And today I got an interesting people on, Charles Phoenix, the ambassador of Americana,

the king of kitsch.

Wow, it sounds like an intro from Space Jam.

But Charles Phoenix is awesome.

He was so fun to talk to.

He's like a mid-century modern pop culture expert.

He has these shows where he shows slides and talks about

those. So he's just, he's a funny, fun guy to talk about who just is like super retro and

talks about all these things. So, you know, we kind of dive into that. And we talk about his

books, addicted to Americana and holiday jubilee

and something called the tripumpel which is like i'll just let him describe it but it's exciting

um so i think you'll like this episode it's we dig into kind of fun places in l.a and long

beach where i live and uh talk about how to find interesting places

wherever you go of like mom and pop shops and different things like that. And we're also doing a
