And I'm John Champion each week on Mission Log, it's time to dip into the ink well and sketch out a lively

discussion about what makes every episode of Star Trek tick, and we mean every episode of

every series ever.

Which brings us to this auspicious occasion, the launch of our coverage of Star Trek.

Wait, I can't, I'm pretty sure that you mean the animated series of Star Trek, yes?

Well, I would have thought that as well, John, but when this actually came on, it was just

called Star Trek, when it premiered in 1973 which must have confused more

than one person.

It might have but I think that's really interesting to note though because we know it I guess sort of colloquially is T. A. S if you're in the

know but at the time you know Star Trek had had its run and that a few years later there's Star Trek back on the air and I guess as

far as anyone knew you know that that would be the only Star Trek the only way it

would come back so why not just call it Star Trek the only way it would come back so why not just call it Star Trek

That makes sense to me because there's no there's no differentiation at that point I mean we don't have the whole you know

The movies and and and TNG and DS 9 and none of that yeah no that's the V

which is a very different show as well you know know, you say, oh, it's V the one with the snakes.
