We are two people in long-term recovery with a lot of experience working with people as therapists and coaches.

I've been sober for 18 years. I just celebrated my birthday last week.

Congratulations.

Thank you. And Chip has been sober for like a century or so.

Well, a third of a century, yes.

Third of a century. God, bloody hell.

So on this podcast, we just talk about everything that we're interested in around getting

sober, living in alcohol-free life, addiction, all that kind of stuff. And this episode is really

following on from our last one, which is when Chip told his story. So if you haven't listened

to that, go back and do listen to it because it's pretty bloody amazing. We spent almost an hour

going through your story and I was thinking a lot about it afterwards. I was thinking a lot about

your mom. I have to say, I just keep thinking of you as a little boy and everything you went through because I have little boys. Yeah. I mean, we kind of got through your story, but I felt like there was so much more because I've known you for so long and I've only known you as the upstanding member of society. My husband's the same. When he hears my stories, I just can't believe it. People often say that. They say,

it's like it's somebody completely different. And it feels like that to me as well. I mean,

I talk about that person and I know him very, very well, and he is me, but it does feel as if I'm

talking about somebody completely different. Yeah, I feel the same way. It's like we've lived

these two lives, right? Yeah. It's so crazy. So, I feel the same way. It's like we've lived these two lives, right?
