Invest Talk. This is our Thursday, August 27th, 2020 edition of Invest Talk.

And we're 68 days away from the election.

Only a couple more trading days left in the month of August.

We have the conclusion of the Republican National Convention tonight with

President Trump giving his closing remarks and that means election

season is really going to ramp up in.

Definitely the most partisan environment of my lifetime and I would probably say that's the case for most people and that's going to be the headline

for the next couple of months

But I think the real headline should be about where we are from a fiscal situation in our country.

And... country. And it's a bipartisan blame. You can put a lot of blame on a lot of

different politicians on both sides of the aisle.

But once we get past the election, that will be a far more important topic.

And one thing I did not cover, I don't think extensively,

it was the week before last, so not last Friday, but the Friday before that was the week before last, not last Friday, but the Friday before that

was the news from that Berkshire Hathaway

had purchased about $500 million in Barric Gold stock and this was really a not necessarily a new decision because Warren has bought gold before in the

70s in the 70s 60s and 70s in 97 in fact he purchased, what did he

purchased back then I forgot exactly which stock it was but it was a big
