I have a story that will lead to linking later in the podcast. Over the weekend I had the great

honor of visiting I've always maintained the two greatest collections of old motorboats antique

motorboats in the world are five miles apart at Gallic and each of these collections is owned by

by two neat guys who of each built what's I can't even come up with the word you know multiple

thousands of square feet buildings to house their collections but not just you know the whole

barn right just nothing fancy. No it's very fancy and you know marble floors the whole deal

cars on turntables and it's just extraordinary it's just extraordinary and I said to well

there once owned by John Allen and the other ones Leanders right personal secret and I said to

John Allen uh what did I say to him. Well that would have been your first line when you walked

in because that was mine. Oh oh I said to him I maintain you and Lee have the two best

collections in the world and he said well I can't say that but you're right. So anyway we're

looking at uh first stop is John Allen's place Fort Mahogany it's called. Yeah just it's just

beyond description and any event uh among the cars on the floor mixed in with some of the boats

was a 1953 Buick Skylark and John Allen said in 1953 Buick Skylark was the most expensive car

in the country it was more than a Cadillac it was a very sporty model and and uh elders uh upon
