| 0:37.9 | In this segment we are going to discuss the trip to Alaska that Walter and I just got back from on Disney Cruise Line. |
| 0:49.9 | We were actually supposed to do this trip early in May, one of the first sailings. |
| 0:55.9 | But I really wanted to do the Adventures by Disney add-on and it was canceled because it wasn't an ABD add-on was canceled because it wasn't enough people on that particular sailing. |
| 1:08.9 | One of the problems is is that Adventures by Disney announces it's stuff too late and people don't have really, you know, these are expensive add-ons. |
| 1:17.9 | These add-ons are almost as much if not more than the cruise itself. |
| 1:20.9 | People need time to plan for that. They can't do it five months out and that's unfortunately what ABD has a bad habit of doing. |
| 1:29.9 | We decided to move it to August so that we could experience the Adventures by Disney add-on. |
| 1:38.9 | This is a first cruise to Alaska for both Walter and I and I will say that he was looking forward to it far more than I was. |
| 1:48.9 | I thought I wasn't looking forward to it but Alaska never held any great appeal for me. |
| 1:53.9 | When we had non-tropical to death and some of the books I've seen that people come back from cruises to Alaska made it look so interesting. |
| 2:01.9 | And so different than anything we've ever done so I was really looking forward to that. |
| 2:05.9 | Well, again, it comes back to the difference between Walter and I being, you know, he's nature boy I'm not. |
| 2:10.9 | And, you know, I definitely did learn from Southwest splendors that the nature not so scary. |
| 2:19.9 | Well, but, you know, it's beautiful to look at, you know, and I can appreciate it on a level that I didn't think that I could. |
| 2:26.9 | So, you know, I figured, okay, that would be this, although looking at the itinerary for this particular adventure. |
| 2:34.9 | Does him a little robust for what I would expect? |
| 2:37.9 | It's a lot more engagement with nature than, you know, passively looking at it. |
