Boom! What up, America? It is the Doug Gottlieb show. No Doug today. So yeah, you got George and myself for the next three hours talking a lot of

NFL action, including what's going on in the Bay Area. Trey Lads had another up and down performance

last night against the L.A. Chargers. We'll talk Niners in about 20 minutes or so. But George,

we start today in the windy city of Chicago where the boo birds were out on a

beautiful Saturday afternoon, only to watch their former quarterback run up and down the field.

I know it was a preseason game, but Mitchell Trevisky, he was looking like Josh Allen,

the way that he was playing on Saturday, all doing it in front of the fans who probably boot him for the last three or four years, which leads us to where we start today has nothing to do with the Buffalo Bills, but everything to do with the Chicago Bears as Matt Nagy is still sticking by his guns to have Andy Dalton as his starting quarterback to start the season.

Right. See, see, that's a funny thing. That's funny how promises work, right?

Is that there are some people who will keep them, some people who won't. Because it is very clear that Andy Dalton was promised that he would be the starting quarterback

for the for the Chicago Bears when he signed there.

Very clear, very, very evident that that's what happened.

But at the same time, you're like, if Justin Fields is better,

he should be the starting quarterback.

Like both of those things are true at the exact same time.

So I look at Justin Fields and I say, listen,

that he should play whenever he's ready.

But also, I looked at that game against the bills
