Today is Tuesday, August 17, 2021, and we begin with a restaurant in New York City offering

the world's most expensive French fries. One serving costs a whopping $200. It's not

surprising that Serendipity 3 is the place to offer them since they already have the

most expensive burger at $295 and the priciest ice cream sundae for $1,000.

But so special about those fries, the creme de la creme palm-freeze start with special

chipperbock potatoes, blanched in vinegar and champagne, then fried in pure goose fat.

Finally, they're sprinkled with edible gold and seasoned with special salt and oil that

comes from truffles, a rare mushroom. And it appears New Yorkers are gobbling them

up because there's an 8-10-week waiting list for these fancy fries.

Kid News for Star Gaysers, there's a new official Dark Sky Park, and it's the first to

exist in two countries. Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada and Glacier National

Park in Montana were combined 90 years ago to form the world's first international Peace

Park. Recently, they installed special bulbs and fixtures to reduce light pollution and

provide visitors with a clear view of the night sky. This helped them meet the lighting

requirements set by the International Dark Sky Association. In addition to making it

easier to see stars and planets at night, a dark sky park can raise awareness of light

pollution, reduce energy waste, and help protect nocturnal animals that prefer to stay away

from artificial lights.
