Good afternoon fellow investors and welcome to Invest Talk. This is our Monday, August 17th, 2020 edition of Invest Talk and I'm glad you're all with me for this hour. I'm going to do my best to make it educational and instructive for you and our goal each and every day is to help make you a little bit better of an investor and a

saver.

And we talk about investing a lot, we talk about

about stocks and different asset classes

and the show is called Invest Talk, so I get it.

But saving is also very, very important and good money habits, which we try to discuss on this show as well.

And that is really the foundation, is making good money decisions each and every day. Now we are

halfway through the month of August and means we're only 80-something days away from the election today marks the beginning of the

Democratic Convention and then we had the Republican Convention on I was a week

from now week or two from now?

I forget the exact date, but it's coming up as well.

So once that happens, then you kick into the debates

and there's gonna be a lot of twist and turns I think in this final stretch.

We know that both sides are very divided, they both want to win desperately and that means I think they're all

going to pull out all the stops and that means market gyrations most likely right as markets try to price in one

winning versus the other and then we have the pandemic on top of it, which, you know, we're going into the six month now.

And surely it's inflicted a lot of economic damage and it's made the market very bifurcated.

Some companies doing fantastic, others doing not so fantastic and we're basically back to where we started at least on the

S&P. If you look at broader indexes where we're close there close to it.
