And we begin with 32 teams soon to be narrowed down to two.

The women's World Cup soccer semifinals are happening this morning in Australia with

many of the favorites already sent home, including the U.S., Canada, Brazil and Germany.

The first match started at 4am East Coast time with Spain facing off against Sweden, a team

they've never beaten before.

The other semifinal features England battling host country Australia, and it gets

underway tomorrow at six Eastern.

Many of the players on these two teams know each other well, some even play for the same

clubs.

England's lionesses are European champions and unbeaten so far in this tournament, while

the Aussie Matilda's hope their home crowd will give them an advantage.

It's a symbol of hope in the middle of utter devastation, a 150 year old banyan tree

somehow survived the flames of Maui's wildfire, even as almost everything around it burned
