He was so taken aback by what he saw last night at the field of dreams game that he told the family. You know what everybody hop in the station wagon and let's head to Dublin Ohio.

And let's get a little bit of this Midwest feel the great Brady Quinn had to just absolutely had to after watching that game last night. Brock back some great childhood memories. At least for me and probably even my sisters who I think enjoyed the experience are going to the field of dreams. Everyone got a chance to stand up there and and then take a swing run around the bases and all that so just brought back some great childhood memories. See in the corn by the way like you know where I come from a lot of rural areas.

A lot of corn I mean I want to get into this one this one like art display that they've got in a particular part of my hometown in Dublin Ohio it's called the field of corn.

Now mind you that field of corn a artist came in he sculpted these gigantic concrete field of corn like statues if you will all throughout this field which apparently used to be a corn field but as you could imagine when you are in high school.

Your immature mind thinks of all these different things that you could do with those things and so what do you think that field of corn turned into over the weekends or different times of year where the seniors might want to pull some pranks yeah they took some industrial size trash bags that they put over top of those things and they became the field of corn to the field of porn and it was it looked like a bunch of male you know you know what's sitting there.

So that that that unfortunately didn't work out well. It's a classy bunch you went to school with there. Yeah well you know we try we try now I have you know this I've got family in the in the Midwest Monmouth Illinois is where my entire dad's out of the families from Monmouth Illinois.

They're in the town of Illinois. Yeah birthplace of a wider. Which has no association with you you like to bring that up. Yeah. And also by the way Kevin Costner Kevin Costner was in that film.

He was in a he was in the movie wider and and so the reason I bring it up is because I've been to Iowa Monmouth is not far from Iowa it's about an hour away I think from Iowa and so when I saw the corn fields and all that it reminded me of Monmouth Illinois and being in that part of the country because last time I was there we stayed.

And the entire backdrop of the motel that we were staying in was all corn like some places have you know swimming pools and things like that no this was miles and miles of corn.

So just to get to see the Midwest lifestyle to see the sunsetting so late I remember when we were in for your golf tournament a couple years ago in Dublin when we were on a advasso rooftop which by the way talk about a barn burner.

I mean I don't know anybody that that walked out of a bus so rooftop and didn't forget their name that night. I know I swear to God that was a just a I was so bombed leaving boss so that the phone rang and I answered my shoe.

I had no idea where I was but I recall just just a piggyback on this by the way you walked into the elevator because I do remember this.

I did you're just standing in there yeah you you didn't even hit a button you just expected the elevator to know what you were trying to accomplish I just you glazed look over your face and I was looking you thinking this man needs help yeah this needs some help right now yeah but I did make the flight only to find out that the flight was delayed for like seven hours so that was always fun the next morning but I remember noticing that the sun was out a lot longer than the normal and I do it.

And I just it just occurred to me what we're used to mountains and the sun hides by because it's all the flat land you get to see for miles and miles I remember my dad tell me there's a part in Illinois where you can stand on this rock and you can see like three or four different states like it like just because of all the flat lands and so to get that to see that exposure for the Midwest and just the small towns like I loved it man I thought it came off fantastic I thought it came off really well.

Great job by Fox and everybody who put the field together I do have some bad news though get some really bad news Brady Quinn really bad news if you liked what you saw last night the field of dreams all of that it's never ever going to be that good again and they're going to try and make it that good they're going to try and do this again telling you it's never going to go that way you remember the winner classic the first time outdoor hockey everyone thought man what this is going to be phenomenal and at a certain point they did it so well.

So I think it's a great point they did it so often that it lost the special feel to it so if you enjoyed last night take it all in DVR it a watch it again it's never going to have that type of feeling again ever so I mean it begs the question how could you even come close to recreating that like you just you can I mean it's the field of dreams it's what so many people

who are young kids are even as adults and anyone who's been there they understand how special it is but that's the problem is no matter where they go next it's not going to have the same type of nostalgic feel to what a lot of people who enjoyed it probably grew up remembering from the movie and then anyone who's been there

calls people who had been there telling the story about it so that's the issue is I just don't know where baseball would go from here unless you know they just have to do an annual game there of a year which which would be neat but you're right it doesn't have the same type of feel the same type of

luster I don't think you're getting Kevin Costner out there again if they try to replicate this a year from now I don't know that I see that happening you think the prices get a go up on

the cost or appearance fee I mean what do you think this guy is I mean I think I want one he might be doing a movie which as we went through this extensive list of movies yeah there's some there's some

absolutely charming movies in their swing swing vote what one of the more interesting roles that he decided to take on it been plus well let's not
