I was wondering if you could shed some light on a difficult passage of

scripture, that being 1st Kings 13 verses 11 through 24. It seems as though the young prophet was clearly deceived by the older prophet. We don't know why the older

prophet did what he did, but the punishment that the young prophet received from God, it seems

very harsh to me, just wondering what you had to say about it.

Right.

It is a very interesting passage of Scripture.

So first, the Bible is recording what happened.

It's not making a moral judgment on what happened.
