Corey Martin and back in the production hook we have Mr. Craig Williams

1:06.1

We are coming to you live from the Bob Barley studio here in Orlando, Florida and this week myself and Corey have our top five tips for taking the best photos and videos at the Disney theme parks.

1:23.1

So the way I wanted to do this is Corey maybe you can give your top five tips for photos first and then I will do the top five tips for videos after that and we will kind of compare notes.

1:38.1

Sounds like a plan.

1:39.1

Yeah so what is your first?

1:42.1

First I want to say that this is not we are not talking details of camera settings and f-stops and shutter speeds. Anything like that because everybody uses a different camera when they are on vacation also a lot of people use smartphones and God forbid they use iPads.

1:58.1

But everybody is using something different, different brands so that is really going to be up to you to figure those things out and kind of get to know your camera.

2:07.1

That is number one, prepare before you leave home. Get to know your camera. Read the instruction manual, know the settings. Understand its limitations and what it can do. You might come here with a you know with just a cell phone and thinking you can take all these incredible fire work shots and all these things.

2:26.1

Understand the limitations of your camera because you don't want to be dealing with this stuff in the field at Disney. You want to concentrate on having fun taking photos and not going through what does this do even if you have presets on your camera.

2:42.1

See what those can do. I mean most people might not use those if you are more advanced you will start using manual settings and adjusting things yourself but if you are just getting started know what the presets do.

2:54.1

Now I can't speak for our audience but I would have to imagine that the vast majority of people who come to the Disney theme parks in general are probably not pro photographers or even semi pro photographers.

3:08.1

They are probably novices who have a point in shoot maybe they have a beginner's DSLR maybe and they probably have a cell phone.

3:17.1

So like you said these tips can apply across the whole spectrum but it is important to note that if you are a pro photographer or a semi pro photographer maybe some of these tips you don't necessarily need but I think you will also find some interesting stuff because we have so much experience actually being in the theme parks not just with cameras but being in the theme parks.

3:46.1

Yeah I am trying to keep the tips very broad so it pretty much it can apply to anyone whether you are a professional or you have never taken a photo before in your life.

3:55.1

There are a lot of resources online. Say you just bought a camera and you have no idea how to use it. There are video tutorials probably for that specific camera you have I have done that.
