I am a realist. I am one that is constantly looking at problems in our nation.

I am one that is constantly writing about problems in our nation, about major concerns, about

major issues, about things that are going in the wrong direction.

I'm not naive. I'm not sticking my head in the sand.

I am not just some wild-eyed optimist who is cut off from reality. No, I'm an absolute realist.

And the ultimate reality for me is who God is and what God says.

The ultimate determination of reality to me is not circumstances alone, but what God says about those

circumstances.

And I'm convinced, as messed up as things are here in America today, as many deep problems as we have in America today,

as many of them are absolutely systemic and deep and long-term bad and wrong,

I believe that change can still come through the gospel. I believe that change can come
