I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed the Hagman show on Friday.

We went on a bunch of different topics as always and didn't get to talk about it as much

as I wanted to, but we did see, obviously now on Friday, that the Congress has passed

the assault weapons ban, which pretty much from the support that

it got from the Republicans, which was virtually none, it looks like they're going to have

a hard time getting this through the Senate, but nonetheless, it is extremely important, my

friends, extremely important that everybody continue to contact their Senate members and

tell them to absolutely shut down

HR 1808, which is the assault weapons, ma'am. If you guys have not read it, I talked about it a

couple weeks ago. What it does is not only does it ban any and all future purchases of pretty

much any legitimate semi-automatic rifle that you can actually use in a solid defensive manner, laying down suppressive fire, or just taking care of your family and friends or going hunting.

On top of that, it basically requires that you have it fully registered, by the way.

A lot of people haven't figured that out yet because it bans the possession, sale, transfer, manufacture for anybody, basically, after the date.

So if you have one before the date, you're grandfathered in, but that means you have to register it,

which means it's going to turn pretty much every semi-automatic weapon into the same category

as you would see with Class three weapons and tax stamps without

having to pay the tax stamp. You'll have to prove that you purchased it at the time before the

enacted date. This clearly is being set up as a ploy to try to go in and set up a list of

individuals who own these certain firearms. And it's so far and constitutional.
