Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, November 20th, 2018.

0:24.8

This week on the Catholic Sproutts podcast, we are talking about thankfulness.

0:29.6

And I know that we are not the only ones talking about thankfulness this week.

0:36.2

We, however, are talking about thankfulness in the correct terms,

0:41.5

in the terms that include God. Yesterday, we talked about how thankfulness only makes sense with God.

0:52.0

There are so many things, so many mysterious and wonderful things in our life

0:57.3

that we can only credit to God. And therefore, while it's important to thank the many people

1:04.6

2:05.8

race exclusively on our own skills. And when we believe these things, when we fall so deeply

2:13.6

in love with ourselves, we become very proud. And we also become crazy. Because we know,

2:25.5

don't we? We know that we aren't responsible for our own creation. We know that we didn't

2:32.9

think ourselves into being. We know that we are

2:37.1

wondrously and mysteriously made by a God who loves us. And that not only happened at the moment

2:47.4

that we were born, it happens every moment of our life. Every ability that we have,

2:56.4

every skill we refine, and even every success that comes our way is not really our doing, is it?
