him before we get too much further into this. Brandon Renfro, who's been on the show before,

more than once or just once? Just once, I think. Yeah, so Brandon Renfro is with us today. I've

known Brandon for several years. He is a former

financial advisor and now teaches finance at a university not too far from here. And he was in

town for Memorial Day and ask him to come in here with us and record this episode where we're

going to talk about real estate investment trust. Because these things have been in the

news some with the

tax cut that was passed last year and with the ongoing search for higher income because we've

seen interest rates come up some right but they haven't come up enough to satisfy investors

needs for income a lot of these real estate investment trusts that you see out there

are paying dividends that are still pretty high, especially compared to what you can get in

CDs. I mean, in some cases, these REITs are paying three times the amount of income. So we're seeing

a lot of people buy these things without even really fully understanding what they are. And so my job

here is not to throw them under the bus
