You're listening to the Decluttered Mom podcast. A podcast built specifically for busy moms by a busy mom. I'm your host, Diana Renee. And in 2017, I had my second daughter and it felt like I was literally drowning in my home. Okay, not literally,

0:23.8

but I felt like I couldn't breathe with all of the stuff surrounding me. Over the next 10 months,

0:30.3

I got rid of approximately 70% of our household belongings and I have never looked back.

0:37.7

I kind of feel like I hacked the mom system, and I'm here to share all the tips,

0:43.1

tricks, and encouragement.

0:45.1

Let's listen to today's show.

Welcome to the very first episode of 2024 of the Declutter and Mom podcast. It sounds so weird to say that,

0:59.6

especially because I am recording this in December of 2023. But it is January 2nd when this episode

1:07.6

comes out of 2024. And I saw a meme on Instagram a couple weeks ago that I

1:28.3

Like the whole world has felt different.

1:32.2

Time has felt different since 2020 and like 2019 felt like the last like normal year.

1:39.9

And it's just it's bizarre.

1:42.2

That's what I could talk about that for like five hours, but that is not

1:45.4

what we are here for today. P.S. Even like saying 24, I had to like stop myself. I stopped

1:52.0

the recording and I was like, wait, is it, is next year 24? I couldn't like, I just feel like my brain

1:59.5

cannot comprehend time. And I'm sure part of that is just

2:04.1

all the holiday stuff, like all the holiday stuff at school that like all the extra stuff that we

2:09.0

have to remember and all of the end of year things. And you know, I don't have to tell you,

2:15.8

you know how crazy it can get. And so even this week, my nine year old was like, I feel like I don't have to tell you, you know, how crazy it can get. And so even this week,

2:19.1

my nine-year-old was like, I feel like I don't even know what day it is. Like on Tuesday,
