You know, the other day I had a prospective client come in. She brought in her statements and

wanted me to review her portfolio holdings. And so we were looking at what she owned. And one of

the first things I saw was that it was loaded

up with these big dividend paying stocks.

So one of my first questions to her was, were these your idea or your financial advisor's

idea?

And as it turns out, she didn't even really know what she owned.

And so we started walking through some of the dangers of having some of these super high dividend paying stocks

and looking back at some historical reference on how they've performed.

And that prompted me to call my friend Andrew Comstock and have this discussion with all of our listeners. everyone will understand that just because a stock's paying a high dividend doesn't mean that it's a great thing.
